🪩 Spotify releases a viral "Disco Ball" app icon

Spotify replaced its classic green logo with a “viral disco ball icon” this week to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and the internet immediately turned it into a trend.

Brands like YouTube, Asana, Loom, and Notion have all been getting the mirror-ball treatment, and Wonder (a new AI design tool) just shared the exact prompt to remix any logo in the same style.

Note: Spotify confirmed the disco ball icon is temporary, and the regular Spotify icon returns this week.

How to make your own Spotify-style disco logo:

  1. Go to Wonder.

  2. Paste your logo onto the canvas.

  3. Select it and paste in this prompt:

"Transform this logo into a disco-style version while preserving its exact original shape, silhouette, and proportions — do not add a circle, frame, or any new container around it. Keep every letterform, curve, and outline identical to the source. Reimagine only the surface of the mark itself: render it as a glossy mirror-ball texture covered in small reflective facets that catch multicolored light, with magenta, electric blue, gold, and hot pink highlights shimmering across the surface. Add a subtle neon glow outline hugging the original silhouette. Surround the mark with soft glowing bokeh and lens-flare sparkles. High contrast, glossy, club-poster energy, 1970s disco meets modern brand mark, centered composition."

💸 ChatGPT launches "Personal Finance"

ChatGPT just rolled out a new “personal finance experience” that lets you connect your bank accounts, see a dashboard of where your money is going, and ask money questions grounded in your actual financial data.

Note: Personal Finance is rolling out as a preview to ChatGPT Pro users in the U.S. on web and iOS, with plans to expand to Plus users after early feedback.

You can connect to over 12,000 financial institutions through Plaid (Chase, Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, Amex, Capital One, and more), and ChatGPT can sync balances, transactions, subscriptions, upcoming payments, and portfolio performance.

You can also share important context like savings goals, mortgages, or planned purchases, and ChatGPT will save that to your "financial memories" to keep future conversations personal. The whole experience runs on GPT-5.5 Thinking by default.

Some example questions you can ask:

  • "I feel like I've been spending more recently. Has anything changed?"

  • "Help me build a plan to be ready to buy a house in the next 5 years."

  • "What subscriptions can I cut to save $200 a month?"

WEB DESIGN
🎨 MagicPath is now a "Design Canvas" inside Codex

MagicPath just shipped a “new skill” for OpenAI Codex that lets you design and build functional apps using MagicPath's canvas directly inside Codex, with both tools aware of what the other is doing.

Note: Using Codex (or any other external agent) doesn't consume MagicPath credits. Free accounts have an API call limit; Pro and Teams are unlimited.

How to set it up:

  1. Paste this inside Codex to install the skill: “Install this skill: npx skills add https://github.com/magicpathai/agent-skills --skill magicpath.” The agent will walk you through installing, logging into the MagicPath app, and the CLI.

  2. Open the web browser inside Codex and go to MagicPath. Log in, open a new file, and you're set.

  3. Optional: collapse the MagicPath chat and resize the Codex one (it'll look like one unified app).

Codex will be aware of your open project, and when you select an image or component in MagicPath, it can pick up the context for further edits.

What's a "skill" in Codex? A skill is a packaged set of instructions that teaches Codex how to use a specific tool or workflow. Once installed, Codex follows those instructions natively, so you can run other apps (like MagicPath) right inside it without leaving the agent chat.

What's Codex and MagicPath? Codex is OpenAI's coding agent that lives in your terminal or browser and can write, edit, and run code on its own.

MagicPath is an infinite AI design canvas where you describe what you want and it generates real, production-ready UI screens (with React + Tailwind code under the hood).

The new skill connects them so you can sketch a design in MagicPath and have Codex turn it into a working app in the same window.
