🎙️ Meta AI launches "Voice Conversations"

Meta AI rolled out “Voice Conversations” in the Meta AI app, letting you talk to the assistant naturally (interrupt mid-sentence, switch topics on the fly, or swap between languages in the same conversation).
It's powered by Muse Spark, Meta's new flagship AI model from Meta Superintelligence Labs. As you talk, Meta AI can generate images, pull up Reels recommendations, surface maps, and more (all without breaking the flow of conversation).

Smarter Shopping
The app is also getting:
Live AI: point your phone camera at the world and ask about what you're seeing in real time. Spot a landmark, identify a plant, or get help fixing something around the house.
Smarter shopping: ask Meta AI to search Facebook Marketplace listings near you alongside options across the internet, with a map showing where each item is. Refine by price, style, or distance, or @ a specific brand or creator to browse their products directly.
Side chats in group threads: tap the Meta AI icon from any group chat to get a quick, private answer grounded in what your group is discussing.
Muse Spark is also starting to roll out across Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the US and Canada over the next few weeks, with Meta Ray-Ban Display getting it this summer.

🛡️ OpenAI launches "Daybreak" for cyber defenders

OpenAI launched “Daybreak,” a new frontier AI platform built specifically for cyber defenders, powered by a new family of models called GPT-5.5.
What's Daybreak actually do? Daybreak uses AI to find and fix software vulnerabilities.
It can map out a "threat model" of your codebase, identify high-impact attack paths, test fixes in an isolated environment, and feed audit-ready evidence back to your systems. Think of it as an AI security teammate that reads code, spots weaknesses, and patches them before bad actors find them.

Daybreak is built on three new GPT-5.5 models:
GPT-5.5: the default model for general-purpose work.
GPT-5.5 with Trusted Access for Cyber: for verified defensive security work in authorized environments.
GPT-5.5-Cyber: a more permissive model for red teaming, penetration testing, and controlled validation.
Major partners like Akamai, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, Oracle, Palo Alto Networks, and Zscaler are already integrating these capabilities. Access is currently invite-only for verified organizations.

📱 Google brings "Gemini Intelligence" to Android

Google unveiled “Gemini Intelligence” at the Android Show 2026, a new layer of proactive AI features built directly into Android devices that handle multi-step tasks across your apps.
Note: Gemini Intelligence rolls out first on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones this summer, then expands to other Android devices including watches, cars, glasses, and laptops later this year.

Some of the new features mentioned:
Multi-step automation: Snap a photo of a travel brochure and ask Gemini to "find a tour like this on Expedia for a group of six," or long-press the power button over a grocery list to have it build your shopping cart for delivery.
Rambler: a new Gboard feature that takes messy voice notes (the "ums," "ahs," repeats, self-corrections) and turns them into clean polished text. It also handles multi-language messages in a single sentence.
Create My Widget: build entirely custom home screen widgets just by describing what you want, like "three high-protein meal prep recipes every week" or a weather widget that only shows wind speed and rain.
Gemini in Chrome: starting late June, it can research, summarize, and compare content across the web, and Chrome auto browse can handle tasks like appointment booking or reserving a parking spot.
Smarter autofill: Android can now pull info from your connected apps to fill out complex forms across apps and Chrome in a single tap (opt-in only).
