ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
📕 Google releases "Dreambeans"

Google Labs released “Dreambeans,” a new experimental mobile app that connects to the Google apps you choose to link (Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, search history) and uses what Google calls "Personal Intelligence" to spot patterns in them.

Dreambeans works overnight, then each morning hands you a fresh batch of illustrated stories built around what you actually care about, plus a few things you might've otherwise missed, instead of another feed to scroll.

Note: Dreambeans requires an active Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, is limited to users 18+ with a US-based account, and is only available on Android and iOS. Everyone else can join the waitlist on the Dreambeans site.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Dreambeans launched exclusively for AI Ultra subscribers, but Google has since expanded access to AI Pro subscribers in the US too.

  • The illustrated images are generated with Nano Banana 2, Google's image model, and can draw on your own photos for inspiration.

  • You pick which apps feed Dreambeans and can disconnect any of them at any time.

  • Your choices here don't affect Personal Intelligence settings in Gemini or AI Mode, they're separate.

MOTION DESIGN
🎬 LottieFiles releases "Lottie Creator 2.0"

LottieFiles released “Lottie Creator 2.0,” a full motion design studio that runs entirely in your browser, no installs, nothing to maintain. It's the biggest update the tool has ever shipped.

Lottie is the industry-standard animation format that lets designers export lightweight, scalable animations (the kind you see in app onboarding flows or button micro-interactions) straight from design tools into a website or app.

Note: Lottie Creator's free plan works for commercial projects but adds a watermark to exports. Removing it requires the Pro plan.

What's new in 2.0:

  • Motion Copilot: Describe an animation in plain English and it builds the keyframes for you.

  • Graph Editor: Shape every curve and easing by hand, the same kind of frame-level control After Effects gives you.

  • State Machines: Add interactivity like hover and click states with no code required.

  • Creator Bazaar: A brand-new plugin marketplace. Install community-built plugins (physics, spring curves, motion presets) or build your own and publish it for other creators.

  • Motion Tokens: Mark any color, text, or transform as a token to make it editable at runtime, no re-exporting needed.

You can start from three places: create an animation with AI from a prompt, browse and remix ready-made animations, or start from scratch with full control.

PRODUCTIVITY
🎙️ Wispr Flow releases "Notetaker"

Wispr Flow, best known for AI voice dictation, launched its first product beyond typing: “Notetaker,” an AI meeting assistant built to get the details right.

It went live on August 5, 2026, and runs off your Mac's system audio, so it doesn't need to join a call as a visible bot.

Note: Notetaker is Mac-only at launch (requires macOS 14.4+) and currently supports English only. Windows and mobile support are on the way.

What it does:

  • Labels speakers by their real names in the transcript, not "Speaker 1" and "Speaker 2," using calendar invites, your personal dictionary, and conversational context, then runs a second pass with a more powerful model to catch mistakes.

  • A "What did I miss?" button catches you up instantly if you join late.

  • Turns the conversation into a clean summary with decisions and action items already pulled out.

  • Captures meetings straight from your Mac's system audio without joining the call, including back-to-back calls and meetings that aren't on your calendar.

  • Searches across your meeting history, messages, and emails with AI, linking answers back to the source material and organizing timelines and next steps by topic.

  • Researches external participants and pulls up context from past meetings and messages before your next call.

  • Pipes your notes into Claude, ChatGPT, and other tools over MCP, and can pull context from Gmail and Slack. Existing Granola users can import their notes in one click.

Notetaker comes free with Wispr Flow's Basic plan. Pro removes usage caps at $15/month per user ($12 billed annually), and Teams runs $12/month per seat ($10 annually, three-seat minimum) for the whole org.
