DESIGN
🤖 Figma releases "Design Agent"

Figma just launched the Figma agent, a built-in AI collaborator that lives directly on the canvas and is fluent in your team's design system, components, and tokens.
You can prompt from any design layer, run parallel prompts to explore multiple directions at once, and keep editing while the agent works alongside you.
Note: The Figma agent is rolling out gradually in beta over the coming weeks. AI credits won't apply during beta. It'll be available to Full seat users on Professional, Organization, and Enterprise plans (Starter, Education, and Government plans not included). Sign up for the waitlist here.

Here's what it can do:
Explore directions: generate multiple stylistic approaches to the same screen, or iterate deeply on one using your most-used components, tokens, and variables.
Automate busywork: bulk-rename variables, swap a component across hundreds of frames, convert screens to dark mode, or fill grids with realistic content.
Work through feedback: summarize comment threads by theme, pressure-test designs from different stakeholder perspectives, and turn crit notes into a clear next step.
Document your design system: bulk-update descriptions, tags, and use cases across libraries; standardize naming; document components with all their states and variants.

🔍 OpenAI launches "Verify" for AI images

OpenAI just rolled out two new ways to identify AI-generated images: an invisible “SynthID watermark” embedded in every image its models produce, and a public Verify tool that lets anyone check if an image was made by ChatGPT, Codex, or the OpenAI API.

The watermark is invisible to humans but designed to survive screenshots, resizing, and format changes (the kinds of edits that usually strip metadata clean off a file).
Paired with C2PA Content Credentials (cryptographic metadata showing how a file was created and edited), it gives OpenAI a two-layer system for proving where an image came from.
The move is part of a bigger Google partnership. SynthID is Google DeepMind's watermarking tech, and Google announced the same day that it's bringing it to OpenAI, Kakao, and ElevenLabs (three of the biggest names in AI image, music, and voice).
Google is also rolling out SynthID verification across Search, Chrome, and the Gemini app so people can ask "Is this AI generated?" inside the products they already use.

🍋 Google Pomelli's “biggest update yet”

Pomelli, the AI brand-building tool from Google Labs, just rolled out three new features that take it from a social-content generator into a full brand identity platform.
Note: Pomelli is in public beta and free to use, currently available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand (English only).

The biggest addition is the Pomelli Agent. Chat with it, upload your existing materials, product docs, or photos, and it'll map out your unique "Business DNA" (Pomelli's term for your brand identity). Whether you have an existing business or are starting from scratch, the agent does the heavy lifting.
Once your Business DNA is set, two new tools unlock:
Brand Books: generate a comprehensive style guide featuring your fonts, colors, and imagery, packaged into one shareable document so collaborators can stay on brand.
Websites: design and launch a complete website in just a few clicks, grounded in your brand identity. Gives small businesses a place to send customers without hiring a designer or agency.
TECHNOLOGY
The CEOs of NVIDIA, Tesla, & Microsoft Agree on One Secret
This year, the world’s biggest tech CEOs all said the same thing:
NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang called robotics a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Microsoft’s Satya Nadella said 2026 is when AI will deliver real impact.
Tesla’s Elon Musk predicted, “AI and robots will make everyone wealthy.”
That opportunity’s arrived. Miso Robotics is leading the charge in bringing robotics solutions to the $1T fast-food industry.
Miso’s Flippy Fry Station AI robot has already logged 200K+ hours for fast-food brands like White Castle. Now, Miso has added iconic restaurant brands like Jersey Mike’s, Jamba, and Cinnabon as new customers.
With a new NVIDIA collaboration, strategic investment by industry leader Ecolab, and a growing manufacturing partnership, Miso can now scale to meet 100,000+ US fast-food restaurant locations, a $4B/year revenue opportunity.
