🔁 Blender reverses Anthropic's "Corporate Patron" deal

Blender just walked back its high-profile partnership with Anthropic (the company behind Claude), converting the AI company's "Corporate Patron" membership into a one-time donation after major community backlash.

Why it matters: Blender is the free, open-source 3D creation suite that powers a huge slice of the indie animation, game dev, and motion design world. It relies almost entirely on donations to fund its development, with corporate patrons and individual contributors keeping its full-time team employed, so who funds it (and how visibly) actually matters.

Blender also confirmed that formal AI policies are now in development, covering the product, software development, and documentation.

Note: Anthropic's MCP integration with Blender (which lets Claude interact directly with Blender scenes) appears to be unaffected by the funding reversal.

🎨 ChatGPT Image 2's "scribble redraw" prompt is going viral

There's a prompt going viral for “OpenAI's “ChatGPT Image 2.

ChatGPT Image 2 spits out an MS Paint-tier scribble version that's somehow always perfectly off.

Here's the full prompt (drop it in alongside any photo):

"Redraw the attached image in the most clumsy, scribbly, and utterly pathetic way possible. Use a white background, and make it look like it was drawn in MS Paint with a mouse. It should be vaguely similar but also not really, kind of matching but also off in a confusing, awkward way, with that low-quality pixel-by-pixel feel that really emphasizes how ridiculously bad it is. Actually, you know what, whatever, just draw it however you want."

🎙️ ElevenLabs releases a "Voice Changer Skill"

ElevenLabs just released a new “Voice Changer Skill” that gives AI agents the ability to transform any voice into another, while preserving the original performance, emotion, and timing.

It installs in one line (“npx skills add elevenlabs/skills”) and is built for developers adding voice transformation to apps and agents.

What's a Skill? A Skill is a packaged capability you can plug into AI agents like Claude Code or Cursor.

Install it once and your AI assistant gains that specific power — in this case, the ability to clone, change, and route voices through ElevenLabs without writing a custom API integration from scratch.

📰 Other news you might've missed:

  • xAI rolled out Voice Cloning via the Grok API, letting users create custom voices in under 2 minutes or pick from 80+ preset voices across 28 languages.

  • Shipper added support for building Liquid Glass mobile apps, mirroring the new visual style Apple introduced with iOS 26.

  • Browser Use launched Browser Use Desktop, a new interface for running AI browser automation agents (with Claude Code and Codex support).
