TOP STORY
⚡ After Effects launches "Quick Apply" (Beta)

After Effects just launched Quick Apply in public beta, a search-based launcher that lets you find and apply any effect, preset, or menu command without digging through panels.
Third-party plugins like FX Console and Quick Menu have offered this kind of search-and-apply workflow for years, but Quick Apply brings it natively into After Effects for the first time.
Quick Apply is available now in After Effects Beta (version 26.2.0.30 or higher).

Type a few characters, pick what you want, and apply it to your selected layer, or hold a modifier key to instantly create a new solid or adjustment layer with the effect already applied.
You can filter results by type: start your search with e: for effects, p: for presets, or m: for menu commands.
Quick Apply opens with Cmd+Return (macOS) / Ctrl+Enter (Windows), or via the Edit menu and a new button in the Timeline.

🎬 Premiere Pro tests "5 New Effects & Transitions" in beta

New Gradient effect
Premiere Pro is testing five new additions to its effects library: three effects and two transitions, all designed to replace older, lower-quality tools with more modern, flexible versions.
You can press a “Surprise Me!” button to get a random result for any of these new effects and transitions.

New Channel Blur effect
The three new effects:
Gradient: A modern replacement for Ramp, with linear and radial options, texture, and grain.
Channel Blur: Blur individual color channels independently, with Gaussian-style precision across RGB, HSV, and YUV color modes.
Noise: Add animated noise with separate control over shadows, midtones, and highlights, plus HDR blending modes.

New Slide transition
The two new transitions:
3D Spinback: A stylized 3D spin between clips with Bezier, overshoot, and bounce motion styles, and high-quality motion blur.
Slide: A bold slide transition with directional controls, elasticity tuning, and motion blur baked in.
All five are available now in Premiere Pro Beta.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
🎨 Photoshop adds "Dynamic Text Shapes" in beta

Photoshop added three new shape options to its Dynamic Text tool in beta (Circle, Arch, and Bow), letting you bend type along a curved path directly inside Photoshop.

How to use this new feature:
Create any text layer, then convert it to a circle, arch, or bow using the dynamic text button in the Options bar, Contextual Task Bar, or Properties panel.
From there, you can adjust the start, middle, and end points with the Path Selection tool, and tweak position (above, center, or below the path) and text direction.
Most text attributes (e.g., font, color, tracking) stay fully editable. Font size is the only exception.
Dynamic Text circle, arch, and bow are available now in Photoshop Beta.
