TOP STORY
✏️ Adobe releases "Project Neo's biggest update yet"

Adobe Project Neo just shipped its most significant update to date, adding a pen tool, fluid vectors, 2D/3D layer mixing, multi-object editing, and direct copy-to-clipboard as SVG or PNG.
Project Neo is Adobe's free browser-based design tool that lets illustrators and designers create dimensional artwork without needing to learn traditional 3D software.

Here's what's new:
Pen tool: You can now draw freeform curves directly in Neo, with full control point behavior and live visual feedback as you build paths. Shapes drawn in the 2D layer can also be converted directly to 3D (no more round-tripping through Illustrator to get custom organic shapes into your scene).
Fluid vectors: A new 2D artboard mode lets you blend shapes together with Neo's signature blend feature, creating smooth, organic compositions that would previously have taken considerable manual effort.
Motion layers for fluid shapes: The same motion system that works on 3D objects (wiggle, bounce, etc.) now applies to 2D fluid shapes, making animated organic backgrounds straightforward to produce.
Multi-object property editing: You can now select multiple objects and change their color, material, or style in one action. This sounds small but changes how fast you can work on complex scenes.
Copy as SVG or PNG: Right-click any artwork and copy it directly to your clipboard as an SVG or PNG (ready to paste straight into Illustrator, Photoshop, or anywhere else).

VIDEO EDITING
🔍 Magnific releases "Precision for Video”

Magnific AI (the AI upscaler acquired by Freepik in 2024) just launched “Precision for Video,” now available inside Freepik's Video Upscaler.
Precision mode was previously only available for photos — now it's coming to video, keeping your footage completely faithful to the original while boosting resolution up to 4K.
Magnific Precision Video is available now exclusively on Freepik and Magnific. It's designed specifically for realistic footage (e.g. live action, Kling, Seedance, and similar outputs) where stylistic enhancements aren't what you want.

What’s possible with Magnific Precision for VIdeo:
Up to 4K output: Every texture, strand, and surface preserved at higher resolution.
12-frame preview: Test your settings on a single clip before committing to the full render, so you're not burning credits on guesswork.
Full manual control: Adjust sharpness, grain, and enhancement strength independently.
FPS boost: Smooth out motion without touching the visual quality.

MOTION DESIGN
🎬 Remotion releases Light Leaks, Sounds Effects, and Visual Mode Preview

Remotion just dropped a new update, adding native light leak effects, a free sound library, first-class Vercel rendering support, and a sneak peek at an upcoming “Visual Mode.”
If you're unfamiliar with it: Remotion is a framework for creating videos programmatically with code. It gives you the full power of web technologies (e.g. CSS, SVG, WebGL, animations) applied to video production.
Remotion is popular with developers and technical creators who want to automate or templatize video creation at scale.
Here’s what’s new:
Light Leaks: A new native component that generates procedural, WebGL-based light leak effects. Infinite variations, any color, and it comes with a companion skill for using it as a scene transition.
Sound effects library: Remotion is building its own free sound effects library (no attribution required).
Faster rendering: Remotion now renders server-side on Vercel via a new starter template, and a new opt-in bundler makes exports up to 2x faster with quicker canvas previews as you work.
Better agent support: If you're using Claude Code or a similar tool to vibe-code a video, several friction points have been removed (e.g., duplicate Studio instance prevention, a cleaned-up lockfile error, and Zod 4 support).
Visual Mode: Remotion is prototyping a Visual Mode for the Studio that lets you interactively edit your video while writing everything back as regular React code. More previews coming as they progress.
